Areas of particular opportunity include:

• Biochemical pesticides including natural insecticides, herbicides, fungicides plant growth regulators and other crop protection products.  The biggest opportunity is in specialty crops such as fruits and vegetables and home garden markets.
• Highly effective and natural anti-fungal, and antiviral compounds are in demand across a variety of product categories. In particular, natural cosmetic preservatives and natural products for industrial applications have strong potential.
• Therapeutics for anti-infective, oncology, cardiovascular disease, and metabolic disorders are quite viable for commercial applications. A number of terpenesshow particular promise in this area.
• Biofuels, fuel additives and lubricants represent viable markets for commercialization.
